Southampton’s NJHS members kick off National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

To kick off National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 22 members of the Southampton Intermediate School National Junior Honor Society recently participated in the North Fork Breast Health Coalition’s annual 5k Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness at the Tanger Outlet Center in Riverhead. The students, along with their advisers Mei-Lynn Guerrero and Kristen Minter, were recognized as the top youth fundraising group. They plan to continue to raise funds during the month of October.
