Position: ISA/Seal of Biliteracy Liaison-Grant Funded
Reports to: Director of ENL, Dual Language, WL and DEI (in consultation with SHS building principal)
ISA/Seal of Biliteracy Liaison will serve as the representative for ISA and the Seal of Biliteracy and assist in the coordination of programming for the ISA program and the Seal of Biliteracy. This position is up for renewal at the end of the school year. In order to accommodate the responsibilities below, the ISA/Seal of Biliteracy Liaison will have flexibility with duty, prep, lunch, and professional period.
Responsible for:
Assisting in disseminating ISA and Seal of Biliteracy information with teachers as necessaryCoordinating with appropriate personnel and administrators for acquisition of resources for the ISA program and the Seal of BiliteracyAssisting in verifying student courses and grades to confirm their continuation in the ISA programAssisting in promoting workshops for professional development and DELE certificationAssisting in identifying the number of students that will be taking the DELE examAssisting with the scheduling and administration of the DELE examsAssisting in organizing the ISA graduationAssisting in promoting the Seal of Biliteracy to students, parents, faculty, and communityAssisting in identifying students who meet the requirements and are potential candidates for the Seal of BiliteracyOrganizing and facilitating the Seal of Biliteracy panelAssist with the coordination of the ISA Spanish Language Assistant ProgramCommunicating with Administration on all matters of concernCollaborating with administration to support a culturally responsive approach to teaching and learning by using the Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education FrameworkAttending building leadership meetings as scheduled by administrationAttending relevant district meetings upon requestProviding monthly updates to the Director of ENL, Dual Language, WL and DEI General Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Tenured Certified LOTE TeacherAbility to communicate effectively to achieve assigned dutiesKnowledge of ISA ProgramKnowledge of the Seal of Biliteracy
