POSITION: Special Education Staff

Approximate Number of Positions Available: Staff will be determined based on the actual number of students who confirm participation

Location: Southampton High school

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS/SELECTION CRITERIA:

Qualifications: All applicants must have appropriate certification and NYS fingerprint clearance

• 1 BCBA to provide services, classroom support and parent training; NTE 30 hours
• 1 Speech Therapist(s) to provide services per IEPs, classroom support, testing and/or participation in CSE and IEP development; hourly based on mandated and classroom support needs; NTE 90 total hours combined4 Teaching Assistants for classroom and/or 1:1 support; NTE 150 hours each
• 2 Teaching Assistants; NTE 150 hours each for classroom and/or 1:1 support services
• 6 Teacher Aides to provide individual support services; NTE 150 hours each

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Instruction and Support: The core focus remains on providing individualized support and instruction to students with disabilities. Provide direct instruction, modify lessons, and offer individualized support to students with disabilities. Summer staff responsible for planning and implementing summer programs specifically designed for students with disabilities. 
• Collaboration:
• Work with general education teachers, other special education staff, and parents to ensure a supportive learning environment. 
• Assessment:
• Monitor student progress, assess learning needs, and determine appropriate accommodations. 

WORK SCHEDULE:

July 8^th – August 16^th   Monday – Friday 

• 9 AM - 2 PM (Elementary / Intermediate)
• 9 AM - 12 PM (High School)

Salary/Pay Scale: Hourly rates as follows

• Teacher                                $61.98/hour
• Teaching Assistant             n $37.74/hour
• Teacher Aide                       $27.25/hour
