Requirements: NYS Department of Education Fingerprint Clearance and a good working knowledge of the application of sanitation practices in the preparation of food and ability to work as part of a team to prepare meals. Typical duties include washing and preparing produce, preparing sandwiches and other hot food items in bulk, cleaning and sanitizing surfaces at beginning and end of each shift. Light manual labor and record keeping. Additional responsibilities include oversight of menu preparation, portion, cost and waste control. Maintains records and understands Summer Food service Program meal patterns and helps the sponsor in meeting all requirements. Additional training will be provided.
