Position Title: SIS BASA NYSESLAT Test Prep Program

Location: Southampton Intermediate School

Salary/Pay Scale: Teachers (2) - $103.08 per hour

Description: Teachers are needed for the SIS BASA NYSESLAT Test Prep program. The program will take place after school during the 2024-2025 school year. Teachers will provide comprehensive literacy and writing instruction with effective support for language development and content understanding. Instruction will be delivered in Spanish and English. Instruction for each session will focus on phonemic awareness, tiered vocabulary, English/Spanish cognates, grammar, word study, language concepts, reading strategies and comprehension skills. Language development will be enhanced through content instruction

• 5-6 BASA Teacher (1)
• 7-8 BASA Teacher (1)

Requirements: Teacher candidates must hold a valid NYS certification in either English as a Second Language or a Bilingual Extension, working towards a certification in English as a Second Language or Bilingual Extension, and/or have worked in the BASA program in the past.
