Position Title: My Brother's Keeper (MBK) Mentors - Black/African American and Latino Boys (1)

Location: Southampton Intermediate School
Salary/Pay Scale: $2,000 stipend
Description of Position: The MBK Program Mentors will provide mentoring to Black/African American and Latino boys after school hours. The program will focus on youth leadership development and social emotional wellness. Mentors will offer academic guidance, provide emotional support and guidance, and serve as role models for studentents in grades 5-8. Mentors will meet with the Director of ENL, DL and DEI Programs to set up meeting times and activities throughout the 2024-2025 school year
My Brother’s Keeper initiative seeks to “Change the Narrative” of boys and young men of color, and all students, by closing and eliminating the opportunity gaps they face and helping them to reach their full potential.
Requirements: High School Diploma, NYS Dept. of Education Fingerprint Clearance and active relationships with Black/African American and Latino students and families is required.
