Southampton NHS members create costumes for NICU patients

Posted Date: 10/16/24 (12:30 PM)

Southampton High School National Honor Society students recently made colorful Halloween costumes for Stony Brook University Hospital NICU patients with the goal of bringing smiles to families who are facing their first Halloween in the hospital. NHS co-adviser Jacqui Fritz inaugurated the community service project after seeing a request from a friend at March of Dimes. Fritz’s own son was the recipient of costumes like the ones that students made, and when the students heard how meaningful the project is to the families going through a difficult journey, they jumped at the chance to help.
